Apparently, this holiday has its origins in colonial times and are related to the call of the feast of Corpus Christi Church del Carmen Alto, Carmelites built the temple at the foot of a hill to which the Zapotecs had called the Bella Vista, and was being held on Sunday following the July 16 and was repeated eight days later in the so-called “eighth”.
